Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred

I Thought that These Mixed Vegetables Would Be a Fun Change and I Enjoyed Them

For a very long time, when it came time to getting frozen peas, corn or carrots, I just got them all together in a mixed vegetable bag. This worked well for a awhile but occasionally I found myself just wanting to have peas all by themselves or corn all by itself for some dishes. For this reason I got some Frozen Organic Green Peas and Frozen Organic Corn from Naturally Preferred. Having these on hand certainly was nice, but having them didn't mean that I wasn't going to get mixed vegetables again. Since Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred were on sale, like the peas and corn, I got a bag to just to try it out. Here is what I thought about it.

Something that I thought was very interesting about the Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred was that they had peas, carrots and corn, like your common mixed vegetables bags do, as well as green beans. This sounded like it would definitely bring something new to the table. I wondered if by having green beans in the mix would make the nutrition facts of that much different from mix vegetables with out green beans. I looked over the nutrition facts of Cascadian Farms Organic Frozen Mixed Vegetables and these mix vegetables to see. The nutrition in these mixed vegetables was based off of two-thirds of a cup. In that serving size there is sixty grams of calories, the same as the other mixed vegetables. There is three times as much sodium in these mixed vegetables, one gram less of carbohydrates with eleven, but the fiber, protein and sugars is the same. There is two grams of fiber and protein and twice that for sugars in a serving of Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred. Honestly after looking at the minerals and vitamins section it seemed that the Cascadian Farm company offered better nutrition in their mixed vegetables. The Naturally Preferred Mixed vegetables listed vitamin A with twenty percent, vitamin C with six percent and iron with two percent.

After taking in all of the information regarding the nutrition of the Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred I was hoping that they would taste good. I was definitely leaning towards getting the other mixed vegetables again instead. It didn't take much to cook up the mixed vegetables. All you have to do is bring one third of a cup to a boil and add the organic frozen mixed vegetables. This will cause the boil to die down so you will want to wait until the water is boiling yet again before you reduce the heat. Once you do have a second boil you reduce the heat to medium and cover the pot. Let the mixed vegetables cook for about eight to ten minutes, make sure to stir at least once at about halfway through the eight to ten minutes. Each individual vegetable tasted good. I wasn't surprised though because in addition to already have tasted the peas and corn I have also tasted organic green beansand Organic Carrots from Naturally Preferred. I've even tried their Organic Frozen Broccoli, Organic Honey Fiber Multigrain Cereal and Organic Golden Flax High Fiber Cereal, Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Organic Blackberry Apple Sauce, Organic Roasted Garlic, Organic Italian Herb and Organic Tomato Basil pasta sauces, their Organic Semolina Spaghetti and their Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti. I could say that like the other products I enjoyed this one as well.

I would happily recommend to anyone to give the Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred a try. I think that I will be getting them mainly for two reasons, their very good price and the fact that they are found at my grocery store. As an added bonus though they have some very good nutrition and taste wonderful. Even though they didn't turn out to be better for you I don't regret getting them and actually am quite happy with them. Overall I would say that Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred are pretty good.
