Fruit Cocktail Cake

This rich dessert is adapted from a 50 year old family recipe. Serve small slices with whipped cream or ice cream on the side.

Ingredients

Serves 18
2 cups sugar
2 egs
2 tsp. salt
4 cups drained fruit cocktail
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions for Fruit Cocktail Cake

Prepare pan.
Grease or spray a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Mix.
Mix all ingredients well except for brown sugar and chopped nuts.

Sprinkle with toppings.
Top with brown sugar and nuts. Pecans or walnuts are preferred.
