Find some time to pamper yourself with a wonderful fruit facial. Prepare your skin for the facial and cleanse your face with your favorite cleanser for your individual skin type.
If you want to really relax, enjoy a wonderful pear or cantaloupe facial. Take a slice of a pear or cantaloupe and smash it up a little with a fork, spoon, or blender and then apply it to your face avoiding your eye area. Then sit back and relax for 5 or 10 minutes, rinse it off, and your skin will feel so refreshed, soft, and you will definitely feel more relaxed.
All skin needs a little exfoliation and grapes are perfect for exfoliating the skin.
Grape Exfoliator
Take a handful of grapes (green, red, or purple), mash them up with a spoon or blender, apply to clean washed face, leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, and rub the mixture over the skin to exfoliate dead skin cells. Voila!-you now have beautiful, soft, glowing skin.
Each fruit has a different texture. Some grapes are juicy and some are dry. Use grapes and other fruits on your face according to your personal preference.
Apples, mangos, grapes, pears, bananas, cantaloupes, and peaches all make great masks and are good for your skin. When applied to the skin, fruit acids supplement the skin's natural exfoliation process by sloughing away the outer layer of dead skin cells, thus revealing smoother cells underneath. Fruit facials also improve the skin's circulation and reduce pore size.
Fruit acids should not be used more than twice a week. I am only saying this, because even though fruit facials are a wonderful treatment for the skin, sometimes using a fruit facial too often can leave the skin feeling a little bit on the dry side and that is not something desirable or beneficial for the health of your skin. Be wise and don't over do it by applying fruit facials more than twice a week.
So, the next time you see a piece of fruit that God has made, don't just think of eating it, but also think about how your face will feel after you have had your wonderful exhilarating fruit mask. Enjoy!
You can find many organic fruits at reasonable prices at Whole Foods Market stores and at www.wholefoodsmarket.com.
