Here is a sophisticated little moc that lacks no detail - The Frye Wendy Lace Moccasin is crafted with a beautifully soft suede upper and sports a classic moc toe with top stitching, a flirty little fringe panel on the vamp and nautical lacing all around with a tie at the vamp for a personal fit. The insole is cushioned for walking comfort. The leather outsole is both durable and flexible and has rubber pads at the forefoot and the heel for a sure grip. This little gem comes in four wardrobe-compatible colors. Retail cost is $148.
This Frye Wendy Lace Moccasin has it all, and personally I would look no further. However, you may want some comparison offerings before you make your purchase:
Steve Madden Teapea Moccasin:
You'll take one sassy step after the other in these easy slip-on, suede moccasins. Complete with a fringed vamp and a tasseled tie at the end of a leather lace that weaves around the entire upper of the shoe. It has a man-made lining and lightly cushioned, man-made footbed to keep feet comfy atop a man-made sole. In Black, Chestnut or Tobacco for $49 retail.
Minnetonka Thunderbird II Moccasin:
Add tribal interest to your favorite casual outfits with this vintage-inspired moccasin. You'll first notice the super soft suede upper with a beaded thunderbird on the toe, a fringe canopy and a leather bow. This is a slip-on but the leather tie offers a secure, comfy fit. There is a full suede lining, lightly padded footbed, and a flexible rubber outsole that is nubbed for an enhanced grip on a variety of outdoor surfaces. Choose from eight fun colors for a mere $39. There is also a suede softsole version for lounging indoors at the same price.
UGG Voyageur Moccasin:
If you would like a moccasin-inspired loafer that will transition from day to evening wear, this is it. Here is a leather slip on with a moc-toe silhouette, a fashionable tasseled bow accent, stitch detail, boat lacing all around and brand logo at outer heel. A luxurious sheepskin footbed keeps you comfortable with each step and warm in chillier seasons. The molded rubber outsole with rubber pods for stability and driver style heel is flexible and shock-absorbing. Black or Chocolate leather with a slight metallic finish for $120 retail.
Its hard to beat comfy moccasin footwear like the Frye Wendy Lace Moc and the others described here. These are all available online at significant savings over retail prices...and no shipping!

Post a CommentI heard on the radio the other night that men are starting to wear "high class" fancy slippers everywhere (I forgot the brand name). The announcer went on to say someone wore them in the rain and they felt apart. For me, I bought a pair of moccasin slippers at a western wear store (I'm not big on wearing western wear, but they carry belts made of real rawhide instead of those phony belts you get in department stores these days that fall apart in a couple of weeks). Anyway, the moccasins I bought are Old Friend and seem to be holding up quite well. (Of course I haven't tried wearing them in the rain, yet, and probably never will.)
