Hungry wolves howl outside the village,
It is time for the Full Wolf Moon (January 30, 2010)

The heaviest snows fall covering the land,
It is time for the Full Snow Moon (February 28, 2010)

The earthworms come out of hiding,
It is time for the Full Worm Moon (March 29, 2010

Ground phlox spreads with spring's arrival,
It is time for the Full Pink Moon (April 28, 2010)

The land is covered abundant with blooms,
It is time for the Full Flower Moon (May 27, 2010)

Harvest time for juicy red berries,
It is time for the Full Strawberry Moon (June 26, 2010)

The deer sprout new velvety antlers,
It is time for the Full Buck Moon (July 25, 2010)

Large fish fill our baskets to feed our tribe,
It is time for the Full Sturgeon Moon (August 24, 2010)

The corn stands tall ready to store up,
It is time for the Full Corn Moon (September 23, 2010)

We work late into the night by your light,
It is time for the Full Harvest Moon (October 22, 2010)

The traps must be set for our winter furs,
It is time for the Full Beaver Moon (November 21, 2010)

Winter nights are long and dark,
It is time for the Full Cold Moon (December 21, 2010)

The names of the full moons may vary in other areas of the world. These names and meanings come from the Algonquin tribe native to areas of Quebec and Ontario Canada and New England to the Great Lakes in the United States.

The full moon dates come from 'The Farmers Almanac'.

    Very nice! We had coyotes howling on the Full Wolf Moon...I hope the snow is gone by Feb 28!
