Findlay, Ohio, is the self claimed flag capital of the United States. Located off Interstate 75, Findlay is north of Dayton and south of Toledo. However, Findlay is not just home to flags. In fact there are several different activities anyone can partake in, from the visitor just driving through to the person who lives within city.

Riverside Pool

The Riverside Pool complex is made up of several different pools. There is a lane pool for those looking to swim laps and there is a diving pool for those looking to dive off one of three diving boards (one is three meters high) or just take the day easy (there is plenty of lounge space by both the pools). The other end of the diving pool allows for fun and games for those not looking to actually swim laps. Because the pool is outside it is seasonal, with the summer hours being Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm to 6:00pm, and on Sundays from 1:00pm to 6:00 pm.
For information regarding reserving the pool for privates parties call the Swimming Pool recreation number at 419-424-7178. They will answer the phone during regular business hours. If you call during non business hours you can leave a message if you wish, or simply call back later.

Marathon Diamonds

If swimming isn't your thing and you would rather play a game of baseball or softball (or just watch a game) head on over to the Flag City Sports Complex at 3430 North Main Street. This complex is home to five different fields, which will allow teams to play both baseball and softball. However, before you take your friends out to the facility for a pickup game of ball, you better check out the schedule of games and practices already taking place. During the summer time there is almost always a game or practice taking place (although you can usually find one of the fields open at any given time).

Parks

Outside of the swimming pools and the baseball diamonds there are over ten different parks within the city. Not only do these parks have available picnic tables, grilling, walking trails and playgrounds, but there are also soccer and football fields as well as shuffle board, tennis and basketball courts. Each park specializes in its own specific recreation activities. If one of these particular activities sparks your interest, head on over to the Parks link in "Resources" for a complete listing of all the parks and activities you can partake in.
