When visiting the Hocking Hills area in beautiful southeastern Ohio, you will find life is at a slower pace. People are friendlier , and a lot of activities are aimed at the outdoors. For someone with no knowledge of the area this can be intimidating! Don't worry here is the scoop and a list of great ideas for your Hocking Hills get away!

One of the first places you should visit is Old Mans Caves. Located on Route 664 South outside of Logan. The state park is absolutely beautiful . It is very nicely kept and fun for the whole family! The hike is not too difficult . It will allow you to see the beauty of the Hocking Hills region.

The Artisan Mall in Logan Ohio, on Hunter Street is a haven for antique and craft collectors. The mall includes a terrific little coffee shop and many booths of local artisans merchandise. As well as almost any thing you could think of wanting from days past. The Artisan Mall is a fantastic way to spend several hours experiencing a touch of the Hocking Hills Arts and Crafts.

While in Logan, I would strongly recommend you stop by the Logan Art Center and view the beautiful pottery by local artist "Chris". Located on Main Street , they offer local art for sale and if you have a hour you can take an art class also. Fun for the whole family!

Also in Logan , exit 664 N , you will find a great Antique Mall, and fun family activities at Rempels Grove. They offer mini golf, canoeing, a small animal zoo and an ice cream shop.

If you like flea markets check out the Hocking Hills Farmers Market. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday April- December. The flea market includes 48 shops, field vendors, baked goods, Leather, Dvds, I would not want to ruin the experience by telling you about all of the wonderful shops! In addition there are several Art and Craft stores, 2 Antique shops, an old fashioned diner , a fudge store and so much more!

While in the area you should also visit another state park or "cave" as we call them locally, if you enjoy hiking! Ash Cave is gorgeous. The Natural Rockbridge is a natural bridge made of rock definitely worth the walk, it is located minutes before the Flea Market on Route 33. If you are looking for a nice easy walk without gruelling hills I recommend Conkles Hollow State Park.

Some of my other favorite Hocking Hills spots include : Glenlaurel Inn, Julies cafe, Ettas lunchbox, Gibisonville General Store and South Perry carry out.

I hope you enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hocking Hills as well as our family oriented activities.
