Fun Activities to Do Over the Summer!
Every summer I take an RV (recreational vehicle) and rent a spot at a RV campground on the beach. In the LA County in California, there is an RV park called Dockweiler. It's great because it is right on the beach and has fire pits in the sand. Each campsite has its own picnic table and barbecue. They also offer complete hook-ups, a handy pump-out station, hot showers, a laundromat. You can even bring your puppies to play with at the beach!
I like to let friends and family know when I am planning on going so that they can also make reservations and we can all meet up and spend a few days barbecuing, tanning, and swimming in the ocean together. Some people may just want to go spend some alone time because it is a calm and really friendly environment.
The last time I went was last summer and the whole family went. We all took lots of food to barbecue and fruit to snack on while we laid on the beach. It was so relaxing and worth every cent even though this is a very low budget activity, which is great! We just had fun staying there, but within a few miles miles is the Redondo Beach Pier, Venice, Santa Monica beaches and Marina Del Rey. There is so much to do around this area for those that are trying to visit new places!
When I go to Dockweiler I just stay there with the family because we live around the area and can visit anytime. I just like to relax and honestly do nothing when I go on vacation. The beach is private for the campers only so you don't have all the huge crowds around. This is very important too because it is easier to watch the little children or just hang out with friends.
I just always remember wanting to stay longer every time, but we all eventually need to get back to our hard working lives. There are many RV parks, but this one just always works for me because it's not too far and the rates are just right. For more information on this RV park you can visit this website:
