The 81st MLB All-Star Game will be held at Angel Stadium this year on July 13, 2010. There are lots of fun and exciting activities planned beginning July 9th and culminating five days later with the All-Star game. Here we outline all the activities planned for All-Star week.

Major League Baseball All-Star FanFest at Anaheim Convention Center - Runs July 9th through 13th
All-Star FanFest, dubbed as the World's Largest Interactive Baseball Theme Park, gives fans an opportunity to participate in interactive baseball attractions and exhibits, seminars, clinics, free autograph sessions, and so much more. The All-Star FanFest takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center just down the road from Anaheim Stadium. Ticket prices are $30 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Specials and discounts are available including buy one adult ticket and receive a child's ticket free. This special is available only on July 9th with a limited number of tickets available. For more information on ticket pricing, go here.

All-Star FanFest Hours:
Friday, July 9: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 10: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, July 11: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Monday, July 12: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 13: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Taco Bell All-Star Sunday - July 11th
This doubleheader will feature the XM All-Star Futures Game and the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. The All-Star Futures game will feature some of baseball's future athletes in action. Past participants have included members of the Angels team: Ervin Santana, Rich Thompson, Jeff Mathis and Freddy Sandoval. Other former MLB players have included: Evan Longoria, Ryan Howard and Grady Sizemore. The All-Star Legends & Celebrity game will include the following players: Matt Damon, Tim McGraw, Nick Lachey, Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Costner, Billy Crystal, George Brett, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to name a few. Tickets for this game range from $75 to $135 per person.

All-Star Game Charity 5K & Fun Run - July 11th
Join mascots and baseball legends for the All-Star Game Charity 5K & Fun Run. There will be two distances - the 5K and a one mile Fun Run - with both races starting and ending at Angel Stadium. Charities that will be supported include the Susan G. Koman for the Cure, City of Hope, Stand Up to Cancer and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. The 5K race begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Fun Run starting at 8 a.m. Each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and medal. Cost to participate ranges from $15 to $30 depending on which race you choose as well as when you register. For more information, go here.

Gatorade All-Star Workout Day at Angel Stadium featuring the State Farm Home Run Derby - July 12
The Home Run Derby will begin play at 8 p.m. This is a definite fan favorite and will be a difficult event to attain tickets at a reasonable price, or even close to face value. A recent look at Stub Hub had tickets ranging from $255 to $5500 for the event. With no ticket in hand or a strapped pocketbook, your best bet is to watch on television. This year ESPN 3D has added the State Farm Home Run Derby telecast to its schedule.

81st MLB All-Star Game at Angel Stadium - July 13th
The culmination of a week long series of events, the 81st MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 13th at 5 p.m. Ticket brokers still have seats available but at a steep price. Currently, tickets on Stub Hub range from mid $400 to close to $10,000 per seat. At those prices, save yourself some cash and have a watch party at home with your friends!

I got away from watching baseball quite a few years ago. The drug controversy is very disconcerting, and distracting from the integrity of the original game.

This is a good report. But I, like Jack, have my own all-stars. Of course, our biggest playoff is probably who can catch the frisbee the most times in a row. Anything else, I watch on TV. Thank you. :)

I love baseball & these all sound fun. I have my own all-stars and they happened to be related to me. My children & grandchildren. Good reporting Cynthia, as always. You're so good.

I don't like to fight crowds much, but I love a good baseball game. Wow this was really good research.

I'm thinking watching TV at home eating caviar would be less costly than some of these event tickets!
