Baseballs - Baseballs are a great traditional gift that any baseball fan will cherish. I grew up as an avid baseball fan and I was always thrilled to add new baseballs to my collection. There is a lot of variety in the kinds of balls you can get. You can find team balls, player autographed balls, and special event balls that commemorate certain events or achievements. For more basic baseballs, a great place to look is at a local sports memorabilia shop. For more specialty balls, you might want to look online. There are many great sites for baseball memorabilia. Some of my favorites are Sports Unlimited Inc and Sports Memorabilia. Another site that specializes in unique, hand-painted baseballs is Unforgettaballs
Baseball Cards - Another great collectible is baseball cards. These are great for kids to collect, and are available at any price range, which is great if you are on a budget. Most sports card stores carry card sets for only a few dollars, as well as carrying more valuable cards, if that is your preference. Baseball cards can be bought in sets or individually and can be displayed in simple plastic coverings, or mounted in frames or on plaques.
Team Apparel - Another popular gift idea is to give team apparel, such as jerseys or baseball caps. You can go with regular team jerseys, or some sites will even let you personalize a team jersey with your child's name on it. Many authentic jerseys can be expensive, but you can often find less expensive, t-shirt style jerseys. Baseball caps are also a great less expensive option for team apparel.
Creative Collectibles - There are tons of other fun baseball collectibles that are a bit more unusual. You can find miniature replicas of Major League Baseball stadiums, player bobble heads, baseball snow globes, Christmas ornaments, furniture, and plenty of other fun things. One of my favorites is a Monopoly game that can have the theme of any MLB team. These games can be purchased on the Major League Baseball website, by searching under any individual team shop. These games are a classic gift for any dedicated fan. Another great site for creative collectibles is Sports Unlimited Inc.
Make Your Own Gifts - You can also make your gifts more personal by making them yourself. These gifts can sometimes be the most fun because they are unique and individually tailored to the child. In my family, we loved to make team quilts for each other or sew pajamas out of team decorated fabric. You could knit a scarf in team colors or make decorative baseball frames for displaying your child's pictures. If you use your imagination and the skills that you already have, you can find plenty of ways to incorporate your baseball theme into fun, memorable gifts.

Post a CommentGreat ideas. I like particularly the personalized ideas.
If you have time, home made gifts are always my preference to receive and give. Granted, not everything having to do with baseball can be made, but the quilt is a fantastic idea!
Great ideas! My sister loves baseball. I should use these. :)
