We've all been there, money gets tight and we have to cut back. Having children is no cheap task! Money has been very scarce since the rise in gas prices, food and everything else. Well your time and energy is free and should be available when money is not. Now that the weather is warming and baseball is in full swing, one of our favorite summer fun treats is ice cream at the local ice cream shop. I have compromised with my kids that we can go only one time a month instead of our usual weekly visit. This cutback was made with the choice that ice cream would be homemade as a family. Making ice cream as a family has many values, it's cheaper and is a lot of fun to make. Homemade goodies such as ice cream give you a sense of the good old days. Talk to your kids about what life was like when you were younger. Join in the kids grandparents and have them tell tales of the olden days.
Camping out at the area camp grounds will also have to be limited. So setting up the tent and making a fire ring in our back yard will just have to do. We are looking at the bright side of things, we may not get to go away as often but we sure can camp out back several times a week. Have your friends and family join in this will also make the night out more enjoyable.
The littlest changes can affect the wallet and cause the biggest changes in relationships between you and your siblings.
