1/3 cup water
1/3 cup of light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
7 cups warm popcorn
1/2 cup grated nuts (optional)
1 bottle of green sprinkle sugar (optional, only used if you don't want to use Fruity Pebbles to decorate for color)
1 bottle of red sprinkle sugar (optional)
1 Box of Fruity Pebbles
Boil water, sugar, corn syrup, salt and butter until the soft ball stage has been reached. Add vanilla and pour of popcorn in a large bowl. Form into balls. Roll in a large bowl of Fruity Pebbles and grated nuts, or roll popcorn balls in small bowl of grated nuts (more than 1/2 cup can be added if needed), set on wax paper and sprinkle with bottles of colored sugar (sugar can be omitted and just roll in nuts or make a batch using each suggestion above). These make quite a hit with children and adults who just have the munchies.
