Kids Slipper Craft Kit
Kids' slipper craft kits are a very enjoyable activity that are available for purchase at craft stores for under $5. An example is an animal-themed slipper craft kit that involves stitching. This kit includes two foam soles with holes for stitching, lion or bear head shaped foam, foam animal face decorative parts with adhesive backing, plastic needle, and yarn. This kit is for kids ages 3 and up with slipper length from heel to toe measuring 8 inches. Kids will enjoy both crafting and wearing their slippers during their sleepover.
Kids Cross-Stitch Kits
Before I learned to kit and crochet, my childhood hobby was cross-stitching. I would use kits that included a graph, needle, embroidery floss, and aida fabric. Depending on the amount of time I had while in school, I stitched small and large patterns with holiday or casual designs and slogans. Then I would frame some of my cross-stitch projects and glue others on cardboard prop-ups. Because many of the kids' cross-stitch kits are affordable at local or online craft stores, parents have the convenience of purchasing multiple cross-stitch kits to entertain kids at a sleepover.
Kids Potholder Weaving Loom Kits
At a very young age, I enjoyed weaving a potholder with colorful stretchy fabric loops using a plastic weaving loom. Kits such as Wilton Weaving loom for ages 4 and up are available at Kmart for less than $10 as well as at craft stores. This kids' weaving loom craft kit is great for making gifts for loved ones.
Kids Scrapbooking Kits
Kids' scrapbooking kits such as those made by Hallmark include 8 ½ x 11 inch colored and designed paper sheets, sheets of small and large stickers, paper frames, die-cut shapes, and designed borders. When kids engage in scrapbooking at a sleepover they will feel like they are in art class.
Teddy Bear Stuffing and Sewing Kits
A more advanced craft kit that I enjoyed as a kid was a Koala bear stuffing and sewing kit. This kids' craft kit includes polyfil stuffing, pre-cut plush felt teddy bear material, a needle, thread, and instructions. After completing this project, each kid will have a teddy bear to sleep or play with at their sleepover.
The best part about occupying kids with craft kits at their sleepover is making arts and crafts a social activity. They will have an everlasting memory with their closest friends, doing something that brings out their creative sides.
