There are many children now who are obese do to eating the wrong foods and over eating. Children love desserts, sweets. There are recipes that taste just as good although, they are not as high in sugars like most of your desserts.
Some of these desserts are low in sugars. This can be a healthy way to raise your child and teach them better eating habits.
PUDDING PIE:
6 small graham cracker crusts
Sugar free chocolate pudding
Sugar free whip cream
Add the sugar free chocolate pudding to the graham cracker crust. Now add the sugar free whip cream on top of the sugar free chocolate pudding and refrigerate for one hour.
FRUIT POPCICLES:
Ice tray
Pop cycle sticks
One can of your child's favorite fruit
Open the can of fruit and take the juice from the can of fruit and add it to the ice tray. Use a popcicle stick or tooth pick and stick it in the juice and freeze.
PEANUT BUTTER BALLS:
2 cups of peanut butter
1 cup of crushed graham crackers
1 ½ cups of powdered sugar
12 oz bag of chocolate chips
Mix peanut butter, sugar, and graham crackers together. Take teaspoon size amounts and roll them into a ball. Slowly melt chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and pour over peanut butter balls. Refrigerate till chocolate is hard.
KIDS CALZONES:
1 can of small biscuits
1 small jar of spaghetti sauce
Cheese
Meat
Take a biscuit and roll with rolling pin to a thin crust. Spread spaghetti sauce on biscuit and add your child's favorite meat or meats to one side of the dough. Add your child's favorite cheese and cover meat. Fold the other side of the dough over to cover the cheese and meat. Take a fork and pinch the edges of the dough together. Baked at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is light brown.
SUGAR FREE FUDGECICLES:
Ice tray
Sugar free chocolate pudding
Tooth picks or popcicle sticks
Mix together the sugar free pudding using the directions on the box. Fill the ice trays with the sugar free pudding. Put a tooth pick or popcicle stick in the center and freeze.
GRAHAM CRACKER SQUARES:
Chocolate graham crackers
Sugar free chocolate pudding
Sugar free whip cream
Take two chocolate graham cracker squares. Add sugar free chocolate pudding to one and the sugar free whip cream. Cover the graham cracker with the second graham cracker square and freeze. You may also use just the sugar free whip cream and this dessert taste just like an ice cream sandwich.
FRUIT PIZZA:
1 can of sugar cookie dough
1 eight oz package of cream cheese
Fruit
Bake the sugar cookie dough following the directions, let cool. Add a ½ cup sugar to the cream cheese and mix well. Spread cream cheese over sugar cookie dough. Take at least three different kinds of your child's favorite fruit. Cut the fruit up in small pieces and spread evenly over cream cheese and refrigerate.
VEGGIE BACON PIZZA:
1 can of pizza dough
1 eight oz package of cream cheese
1 package of powdered ranch
Broccoli
Peppers (green and red)
Bacon
Bake pizza dough using directions and fry bacon. Mix ¾ of the powdered ranch package to the cream cheese and mix well. Let pizza crust cool and spread with powdered ranch and cream cheese mixture. Crumble bacon up into small pieces. Cut veggies up into small pieces. Spread bacon and veggies over pizza evenly and refrigerate to chill.
These are easy recipes to cook with your kids. They will enjoy helping out and enjoy eating them as well. These recipes don't take a lot of time to prepare.
