Looking for a summer job In Columbus, Ohio? Below are some great options for college students who are looking for some extra cash and experience. These jobs are fun, easy, or both!

Work for OSU

This should be a convenient option that most students completely forget about during the summer. During the school year, Ohio State University hires hundreds of students to work in libraries, offices, and dining courts. Once spring quarter is over, many of these jobs are left empty. Work at a library or office on campus during the summer. It will be a simple low task job that won't be too demanding on your schedule. This will be an easy job to have during the summer. Working on campus doing the summer will also give you a head start on finding a part-time job in the fall when school is back in session.

Work the Ohio State Fair

Since I was a child, I've gone to the Ohio State Fair. There are rides, great food, and concerts. All of the aspects require employees! This isn't the most glamorous summer job, but it will be fun. This is a good fun job for those who love interacting with others in a fast paced environment. The Ohio State Fair is between July 28 - August 8. For more information, see the link below.

Work for the Columbus Zoo

Work at Jack Hannah's theme park! Zoombeezi Bay is the perfect summer job for all of you former lifeguards. The water park has changed significantly since it was known as "Wyandotte Lake". It's a fun light-hearted work environment that keeps you outside all summer. Zoombeezi Bay is affiliated with the World renowned Columbus Zoo. For more information, view the link below.

Work at the pool in the "Burbs"

Suburban areas like Westerville, Dublin, and Worthington have fantastic community pools and recreation centers. This is a great opportunity for college students to seek employment. Many of the positions go well beyond the typical lifeguard. The kids are out or the summer however, and the pool is open, so lifeguards will be needed.

Work For Free

That's right, I said work for free. College Students need to gain real work experience. Offer your skill and expertise to local nonprofit organizations. If you are lucky, you could even create your own internship. The pay needed from a summer job won't be there, but the experience will.
