Fun Facts About T.I

King of the South

Ever Odessa
The rapper T.I. was born in 1980 and is from Atlanta, Georgia.

T.I. doesn't stand for anything. Rather it's a shortened version of the rapper's childhood name, Tip. His birth name is actually Clifford Harris Jr. The label asked him to change his name to T.I. because they were working with another rapper that had a similar name, Q-Tip. He used to spell out his name T-I-P to people because they'd misunderstand what he was saying, thinking his name was Chip and the like; so that's where spelling out T.I. came from as well.

Before he was a rapper, he wore rubber bands as an anticipation of how much money he would eventually make. Although, really wearing the rubber bands got started when he was dealing dope. The rubber bands were to keep the money together that he was making at the time.

His album title Trap Musik is also a reference to selling drugs. "The Trap" is a term used in dealing drugs.

Fun fact: The only fear the rapper has is a fear of God.

Random T.I. quote: "I have a considerable situation". His response back in 2009 to Chelsea Handler asking him if he has a girlfriend.

He has acted in three movies: ATL, American Gangster, and Takers. The bank robber flick Takers was the first movie that T.I. has produced.

T.I. has a novel coming out this October called "Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets". The book was co-written with David Ritz.

The artist said his album T.I. vs. TIP was the result of his partner dying.

Fun fact: In case you were wondering, his teeth are naturally straight and beautiful.

T.I. finds it an honor that Weird Al Yankovic parodied his song Whatever You Like.
