The annual Fall Tour of Homes in downtown Charleston is a popular event. It starts September 27th, 2007 and ends October 28th, 2007. The tour features 8-10 homes and their surrounding properties. These evening walking tours provide interesting information about the history, antiques and architecture of these historical homes and sites. The cost is $40. The Moja Arts Festival in and around Charleston, SC, is September 27th -October 7th, 2007. This festival celebrates African American and Caribbean art through music, theater, literature, food and more. There are many events scheduled throughout the festival; both ticketed and free. For a fun fall family day visit Daniel Island for Park Day. It's an annual tradition that's not only a good time but raises funds for over 20 non-profit organizations. Park Day is October 13, 2007, from 11am-5pm. Some of the events include a hot air balloon ride, a climbing wall, a mechanical bull, jump castles, a bungee trampoline, and much more. There will also be arts and crafts, field games, live music and entertainment, animal exhibits, birds of prey, a dog showcase, several raffles, and lots of food and beverages including an oyster roast and a sports pub. Admission is free although food, beverages and some events require payment in order to raise funds for the organizations. Don't miss out on great fun and a chance to give back to the community. Another fun family adventure is the West Farm Corn Maze in Moncks Corner. The maze is in the shape of the state of South Carolina and has over 3 miles of trails. You are provided with a detailed map and are challenged to find all twelve of the checkpoints. They also offer hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a "scarecrow alley" and much more.
