They allow you to set yourself a budget for Christmas spending, write a list of the people you are shopping for, give you a place to write what your bought for each person and to remind you which presents have been wrapped and posted. They also have password protection on them, just in case nosy relatives pick up your phone to take a peek! It's a brilliant way to keep a check on how much you have spent and remind you of the things you still need to buy!

Sleeps To Christmas Lite (Free)

If you are excited about the countdown to Christmas, Sleeps To Christmas is a cute app to have on your iPhone. A variety of cute Christmas characters including Santa, a snowman and an elf each hold up a sign which tells you how many "sleeps" until Christmas while playing an instrumental Christmas carol in the background. There are also options to make the fairy lights blink, twinkle or stay on plus three different music choices and the option to make snow fall. You can make lots of different trees and save them so you can use them as wallpapers on your phone so you can carry the festive spirit with you at all times.

Christmas Rollercoaster Builder (Free)

If you like your Christmas iPhone apps with a bit of a challenge to them - try Christmas Rollercoaster Builder. The aim is to guide Santa and his reindeer to collect the wrapped gifts without them crashing. To do this, you use your finger to trace a line across the screen to help them on their way. This isn't as easy as it sounds though. If the route you trace slopes too far down, or too high up, Santa will crash and you have to start over.
