When planning your Halloween party, make sure that the food you serve matches the theme of the holiday! These fun ideas can not only fill your guests stomachs, but can also add some creative decorating to your Halloween table!

Frightful Fingers

All you need for this fun and scary Halloween treat are some mini corn dogs and some popsicle sticks! Cook your mini corn dogs according to the package directions. Once your corn dogs are finished, tear off the top of the corn dog breading in the shape of a fingernail to expose the hot dog beneath. Next, break popsicle sticks in half and insert one end into the mini corn dog.

Garnish with ketchup for a bloody effect, or use green food coloring in mustard for a creepy green ooze on your frightful fingertips! The popsicle sticks not only add a boney effect to your Halloween treat, but also make it handy for guests to grab one on the go!

Tombstone Treats

Crush Oreo cookies onto a serving plate and top with softened ice cream of any flavor. Next, cut ice cream sandwiches in half and decorate with Halloween icings to create a multitude of mini "tombstones" and arrange them to create your own yummy graveyard! Place in the freezer before serving this sweet and spooky treat to your Halloween visitors!

Frigid Fingers

Fill a rubber glove with water and place in the freezer over night. For best results, try suspending the glove from a freezer rack so that the water freezes evenly. After you prepare your favorite Halloween punch, remove the rubber glove to reveal the frozen hand beneath then place in your punch bowl! Use blue food coloring in the water before freezing for an extra frozen effect!

Snot on a Stick

Use green food coloring to add a snotty effect to cheese spread then use pretzel sticks to dip out the snot to all Halloween party guests who are looking for a quick snack!

Brain Food

Use a brain shaped mold, available at orientaltrading.com, and create a gelatin mold that will cause your guests to cringe! Use red colored gelatin for a more realistic effect and consider adding a can of fruit cocktail to make your brains extra lumpy! After your brain mold is complete, garnish on a plate with creepy shaped gummies, and insert gummy worms into the brain.

Get Creative!

Just about any party favorite can be given a creepy turn with the addition of some food coloring and some imagination. Make slimy green and bloody red the theme in every food you serve and make sure to label all of your party favorites with tags so your guests can get not only a fright, but also a laugh at your creations.

Be sure to garnish your Halloween table with lots of plastic spiders, fake spider webs, and scary Halloween candies for some extra flair!
