Fun and Free Activities that You Can Do in the Greater Daytona Beach, Florida, Area

Are you planning a trip to Daytona Beach, FL? Are you wanting to do it on a limited budget? Do not worry. There are many fun things in Daytona that cost little to no money to do. There are many parks that have activities for free year round. There are also special items to take part in like the bike parade down US1 during Bike Week.

5) Bike Week Bike Parade- At the end of Bike Week, there is always a bike parade that takes place. The bike parade is a fun activity to watch. It takes place as the bikers take off out of the greater Daytona are to head back home. This is no cost, but you do want to get there early enough to be able to get a place where you and you family can actually see the bikes.

4) Sugar-mill Gardens- Sugar-mill Gardens was once a sugar plantation in the area of Port Orange, which is part of the greater Daytona Beach are of Florida. Sugar-mill gardens has many fun historical activities including a giant sundial, where the person stands in the center of it to find out what time it is.

3) Going to the beach- No trip to the Daytona Beach are would be complete without a trip to the world's most famous beach. To drive your car on the beach, you will have to pay. On the other hand, if you walk onto the beach there is no charge for you to pay. The beach is definitely something that your children will enjoy.

2) Take a drive through the Loop- The loop runs from Ormond Beach to Daytona Beach Shores. On Beach street in Ormond, you would start of going north. After about 15 minutes you would turn right. There will be some fun parks to visit while you are in the Loop. One of which is Fairchild. That is the home of the Fairchild oak. You will cross a total of 4 bridges through your drive and will end up on A1A in Daytona Beach Shores.

1) 4th of July fireworks- Whether you are on the beach or at one of the local parks, you will see a beautiful array of fireworks on July 4. You can see the fireworks from any of the parks that line beach street, A1A, or the Halifax River. Enjoy the light show with you family during your trip to Florida.
