Fun and Fright - a Halloween Poem

C.D. Crowder
Place a bowl of candy on the steps

Close your doors, bar the windows

Hide inside and watch in wonder

As ghouls and goblins come out to play

A witch, a hero, a princess, a pirate

Free to roam and gather tonight

Not for the plain or faint of heart

All Hallow's Eve is for fun and fright

So before you brave this dark night

Slip on a mask and grab a bag

Prepare your devilish tricks

To gather your sugary treats

Happy Halloween to one and all

Time to dress as idols and monsters

Dress as everything in between

Laugh and scream its Halloween
