Fun Halloween Costume Ideas for Twin Babies

Double the Fun for Halloween!

Candice Cain
Not only am I the Editor of Multiples Magazine, I've got a set of twins myself. Charles and Catherine are 6 months old, and will be celebrating their first Halloween this year. I came up with a bunch of ideas for my babies, but still haven't decided. Here are some ideas for your twins that aren't able to walk yet.

Caterpillar & Butterfly
Let's face it-- Your babies can't walk yet. So, prove the old saying "Cute as a bug" true! Make the older twin a caterpillar and the youngest twin a butterfly. This especially works if you have a boy and a girl, like me... The boy can be the caterpillar and the girl can be the butterfly. Cute, colorful and artistic!

Puppy & Kitten
Aww! What is cuter than a puppy and a kitten? Two babies dressed up as a puppy and a kitten! Again, if you have a boy and a girl, you can make the girl the kitty and the boy the puppy. There are plenty of stores and catalogs where you can find ready-made outfits for infants. Plus, they are warm for those living in cooler areas.

Crayons
It might sound odd to you, but crayons are simple outfits to make. Just dress your infant completely in one color, and make a pointy hat out of the same color of construction paper. If you are pushing them in a side-by-side stroller, create a crayon box around them. You can have every member of your family dress as different colors to complete the set!

Raggedy Ann & Andy
Ah, there is nothing like the classics. While this costume set may take a little longer to put together and a little more patience to dress your babies in, it sure as heck is cute. Complement their outfits with real Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls.

Pisces
My babies happen to be born on March 14, which falls under the astrological sign of Pisces. The sign for Pisces is two fish. Dress your babies up in little fish costumes and Voila! You have created a matching set. To complete the theme, dress up as your own astrological sign.

Two Peas in a Pod
This is a great costume, especially for babies that are really little. Simply dress each baby in green and swaddle them together in a green blanket. You can even create a pea pod out of a green blanket, if you would like. This is a terrific costume for babies that share the same stroller or crib. Very cute to look at!

Halloween is always a lot of fun, because you get to dress up. Dressing up twin infants is even more fun. Have a blast and be safe. Happy Halloween!
