Fun Miniature Golf in the Greater Tacoma Area

Mini Golf: A Cheap Form of Entertainment

Nick Mayer
Parkland Putters - While driving along Highway 512, one can see an interesting looking miniature golf course along the Sprague St. exit. Personally, this is one of my favorite mini golf courses. It has 4 18 hole courses that can be played for a relatively cheap price, 6 dollars to be exact. After your first game you can play a second for only 3 dollars a person! It is as professional of a golf course that you'll find; each and every hole is different and unique on its own. One hole is even played on a ship! (Yes, a "boat ship!") Parkland Putters is a favorite for both teens and adults, and you will find each of them dispersed throughout the entire place.

Putting Zoo - Located in downtown Puyallup, this miniature golf course has the most widespread amount of activities available to do. One can choose from playing a round of mini golf, hitting in the batting cages, riding the go-karts, or even playing paintball! As I have done the prior three, it is safe to say that all of these provide a way to spend a sunny afternoon. The employees are both friendly and helpful, as they will provide assistance to each of these activities. While this venue is on the more animated side of mini golf, having wacky hills and multiple holes on a given hole, it is a fun, family oriented adventure!

Tacoma Firs - This is the classiest of any miniature golf course in the city of Tacoma. It has a lighted 18 hole mini golf course, sand bunkers to chip in, a driving range, and even an area to practice your putting. After a day of golf, it is a favorite of many to go to their diner afterward. There is even a pro shop to purchase any golfing goods needed. I would recommend this venue to anybody serious about their miniature golf. It is truly a venue not easy to believe until one has been there.
