Fun Post-Baby Shower Games

Sarah Rachel
Post means something that happens immediately after something else, so a post baby shower game would happen right after the shower. Post baby shower games work well for showers that are mainly focused on conversations and giving gifts to the mother. This works well for mothers who are not too into these types of games, but does enjoy them on occasion. A post baby shower game can help to keep guests around longer so there is more time to visit with the mother.

Baby Name Game

After a baby shower the guests and mom-to-be is usually tired, so post baby shower games should be short and sweet. The baby name game is a last minute game that can help mom to get more ideas for names. This is even better if the mom is not stuck on any particular name.

Even if the parents have a few names in mind this game can give them an idea of what other peoples preferences are and names for future children. Each guest writes down a name and then talks about why they love the name. As each person announce her favorite name the other guests begin voting on the best name besides their own. Voting for your own name is against the rules. The votes are then tallied up and the person who thought up the most favored name wins a prize.

Guessing Game

The guessing game is another fun post baby shower game. The mother walks out with a tray of baby items and everyone is supposed to remember what is on the tray. The tray can include anything from pacifiers to toys or even diapers. Just include several items on the tray. Then the mother goes in the back room for a few minutes and the guests are surprised because they are told to write down what they remember her wearing. For instance, what color was her outfit, her watch or was she wearing earrings. This will throw them for a loop. The person with the most accurate details wins.

Baby Picture

Another simple post baby shower game is the baby picture guessing game. Ask all of your guests to bring their baby or early childhood photos of themselves. Ahead of time, post all the pictures on a bulletin board. Place a number above each photo. Display the board for all your guests to see and have them write down who they think each person is. Some photos may be obvious while others will be more difficult to figure out. The person with the most correct answers wins.
