Fun and Tame Bachelorette Party Games

Nik Minor
While the bride-to-be will know each of the ladies attending her bachelorette party, the guests may be strangers to one another. Fun, tame bachelorette party games, which are instant conversation starters, are a great way for the girls to loosen up and get to know one another. Of course, wine is too, but games won't give you a headache in the morning.

Get the Party Started

A great way to start your bachelorette party is by having the girls offer up a brief introduction that includes how they know the bride.

Fun, Tame, Bachelorette Party Games

The Spice of Life

If the attendees are over the age of about 23, one fun, tame, party game idea is The Spice of Life. Collect about a dozen various spices and place them in a bag or cover the labels so that the guests won't be able to tell what they are. Then label each spice with a number and pass them around to each guest. The guests then write down what they think each spice is. Whoever guesses the most spices wins.

Rock Band Party

If your guests aren't familiar with one another, it may seem like you won't be likely to get them to bust out in song (unless you remembered to include the wine). However, girls are willing to do all sorts of things for a bride-to-be. The best opportunity to get a girl out of her shell is at bachelorette party. If you or another of the guests has Rock Band, throw a fun Rock Band party. Pick a couple of ridiculous songs (think Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Rick James) and have the girls get down. You can keep track of their performance and award the best performer.

Guessing Games

Remember those fun Halloween games you'd play as a kid where you had to guess what was in the sack? That game works great for bachelorette parties. Guests can shake, smell, touch or listen to, depending on what you find to place in your bags. Use weird food and squishy toys.

"Would You Ever"

Fun games that can get your guests laughing are "Would you Ever" type games that ask outrageous questions, such as would you eat cat food for $20. If your guests are close, variations include "Have you Ever." Another game idea is "Would you Rather", where guests are forced to make tough decisions about outrageous or ethical scenarios.

Tame party gifts include body sprays, chocolates, lip gloss and sassy key chains and magnets.

Oh these are fun and so innocent too. We usually play pin the wiener on the stud. ;-)

Tame? Now that is unusual! (but good!)

You're right, Nancy, the last bachelorette gang I saw trailing out of a restaurant was anything but tame! Thanks Shanika.

I don't think I've ever been to a "tame" batchelorette party.

Slick Rick always used to get the party started--"Give it to me Baby." The winner of the spice contest should get a bottle of turmeric. :)
