Fun Things to Do

It doesn't matter how old you are, you want to have a good time. I'm not saying that you should be having fun all the time, everyone needs to work and rest as well. I'm just saying that if you are reading this article right now, odds are you have spent a large chunk of your day off staring at a television or computer screen, it's too early to go to sleep, and you want something to do. So let's get started.

First off, here is a list of the not so expensive but still not free things to do that are available in almost every city:

1. Bowling
Bowling is always fun, if you go with friends, and it's a good way to spend a couple of hours enjoying eachother's company in a fun atmosphere. Also, bowling is not too expensive, expect to pay about 7-10 dollars per person.
2. Movies
Movies are a great way to pass the time with your friends and be entertained. You can go to the movies anytime and it's an enjoyable experience.
3. Amusement park
Be cautious with this one, amusement parks can get very expensive, but if you go to the wrong one it won't be an enjoyable experience. For example, if you don't enjoy roller coasters, you probably shouldn't go to a park like Six Flags that has nothing but 200 foot tall fast roller coasters, you would probably enjoy a theme park like Disneyland a lot more.
4. The mall
Malls are everywhere, and they are full of fun stuff to do. There is food, the best stores, and lots of other people to interact with. It is fun to walk around with friends in the mall, and it beats sitting on the couch at home.
5. Restaurant
If you are human, then you get hungry every day. And if you are bored at home, call up some friends and go out to eat somewhere. It doesn't have to be an expensive place, you could all go to a Del Taco and hang out there and talk.
6. Mini Golf
Mini golf is fun, and it is time consuming as well. Go with a couple of friends and enjoy.
7. Batting Cages
I know what you're thinking: Why would I want to go to the batting cages? Well it's actually fun and it's an activity that will distract you from your boredom for a while. I'm not saying to only go to the batting cage and call it a day, couple this with one or two of the other activities listed in this article and it makes a day more memorable and fun.
8. Parties or clubs
This one isn't for everyone, but parties and clubs are great ways to meet new people and enjoy the night with your friends.

Now here are a few things that may not be available in your city but if they are they are very fun things to do:
1. The Beach
Who doesn't enjoy the beach? If you have friends and a car, why are you still reading this article? you should be there right now enjoying a nice day on the beach.
2. Skiing or Snowboarding
Go enjoy the snow with friends and family, it's a great way to spend a day and it's really fun.
3. Boating/fishing on the lake
If you live near a lake, you can rent a boat and spend a day on the lake. There are plenty of things to do and it is a fun way to enjoy your time away from work or school.

If that list wasn't enough for you, please tell me your secret formula that you've found that allows you to have more free time than any other person on Earth. But just in case I will just add a few more things. You don't have to leave home to have fun. Everything is more fun with friends, even cleaning. Go over a friend's house, have a sleepover, play video games, watch television, order pizza.
