Fun Troll Halloween Costume: A Clever DIY Costume

Halloween is a time to have fun and to have a good time creating different Halloween costumes. It is a time to try to figure out the best way to create the most unique Halloween costume. One of the most unique ways to create a Halloween costume is to create it yourself.

One of the most unique costumes that I have ever created is that of a troll. The first thing that you will need to do is get a can of regular hairspray and a can of colored hairspray. Bend your head over so that you hair is straight now. Have a friend being spraying the hairspray all over your hair so that it will stand straight up once you stand back up. Be sure to get the middle as well as the outside. Spray half of the can of hairspray and then let it dry. Stand up to see where you need to spray it more so that it will stand up completely by itself. Bend back over and have your friend continue spraying until the hairspray is gone. Once again, let it dry and then stand up. It should now be standing straight up.

Now you will take the colored hairspray. Bend over again and have your friend begin spraying the color all over your hair. When they think your hair is completely colored, stand up and have them do touch up on your hair. Be sure that you get a funky color like blue, orange, or pink. Trolls are known to have funky colored hair.

For the makeup, you will want have browns. Do not put on lipstick unless you have thin lips and then you will want to use a makeup that is dark to match your eye shadow. You will want to make lines on your cheeks and your forehead creating a withered look. Use darker brown or brown eyeliner to create these lines. Make lines on your chin to create a more prominent point for your chin.

Clothing can be a variety of choices. You can wear a mini skirt or you can wear shorts. You could even wear jeans. I would suggest that you go out and get a pair of sweat pants. Cut the sweat pants so that they end just below your knee. Take your scissors and make V's with them so that you have a pointed bottom for the leg. For the shirt, you should get a shirt that you can cut off just above your belly button. Cut the same V's on your shirt.

Due to the fact that Trolls live under a bridge, get some brown body paint or use your makeup. Put little splotches of brown all over your body for the effect of mud. Make sure you have more "mud" on your feet because you will want to wear flip flops to complete this costume.

You do not have to have any props for this costume unless you want to. You could have a baseball bat that is covered with "mud" that you carry around. This could represent what you have to protect yourself while you live under the bridge.
