Fun and Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

Halloween Costumes don't have to be store bought, expensive, or even hard to make. There are many costumes you can make that are easy and fun, and best of all, unique. Here are step-by-step directions on some pretty interesting costumes that will make this Halloween a night to remember! Make sure to put batteries in the camera for these ones!

Not-A-Morning-Person

This is a very simple costume, one alot of us do everyday anyway! Grab a bathrobe and slippers, a big coffee mug, muss up your hair or apply curlers. You can hang a sign around your neck saying "Not a morning person" or "Morning Grouch". So much fun, and many people can relate to being a morning grouch!

Grapes

A really cute idea for a small child, and so easy to make. Get a pair of purple or green sweatpants and sweatshirt, and attach same colored balloons to them. On a hat, attach the same colored stem made out of felt or foam, and voila! You have a bunch of grapes!

Tree

Go to any Wal-Mart or craft store and purchase a bunch of fake leaves, either green or fall colors. sew them onto a hooded sweatshirt of a matching color. Wear brown sweats for the trunk. As a nice added touch, make grass out of foam or pipe cleaners and stick in your shoes, so they go up your ankle a bit like grass.

Pile of Leaves

This would be the perfect compliment to the Tree costume, especially if the tree is in autumn colors! Co-ordinate colors and attach leaves all over like Tree costume. Wear a mask with leaves sewn all over it so you look like a pile of leaves. Carry a big rake! Too cute!

Ice Queen

Pull hair up in a clip and spike it with tons of hair spray until its hard enough to stand on its own. Then use baby powder, or spray in store-bought spray to make white. Add sparkles. Powder your face and put body glitter all over. Find a nice white dress and glitter that, too. Carry a wand and wear a crown. Perfect Ice Queen!

Black-Eyed "P"

Wear a black sweat suit, get some bright craft felt, any color. cut out the letter "P" and sew onto the shirt. Wear very heavy black makeup around one eye, and voila! You are now a black-eyed P! You'll be the hit of any party with this funny costume.
