Fun Valentine's Day Activities for Your Children to Do

S. Morris
I am a mother of two and love to do crafts with my children. Holidays are the time when I get into doing crafts the most. Valentines Day is coming up and here are some craft ideas for you to do with your children.

I think children have the most fun with the more messy the items are. Such as; glue, paints and glitter. So make their day fun and let them make cards with these items. Let them make some for friends, family, teachers, or siblings.

Try making some heart cookies together. Or cupcakes if you prefer. Bring to family or friends. To brighten there day. Make sure to include them in all parts of the making. Let them use lots of sprinkles and frosting!

Get some pipe cleaners, red, pink, purple, or white. Also some tissue paper, glue, and glitter. Have them make flowers with these items. Put them in a vase on the table for all to see and enjoy. Also this could be a good gift for grandma or mom.

Save the cardboard pieces from your toilet paper rolls. You will need glue, tissue paper, glitter, dry beans, tape and markers. All valentines colors. Put the beans inside tape it up. Wrap it with tissue paper. Cut hearts out of the tissue remaining. Glue them on it. Decorate with glitter and markers. There you have some Valentines Day noise makers.

Last, you could have them make homemade frames out of Popsicle sticks. Have them decorate the sticks with glitter. Use ribbon to hang. Take there picture and put it with the frame. Give them to everyone you know as a gift.
Don't forget to keep one for yourself.

Have them make cardboard hearts. They can paint them and decorate them. Hang them in the windows. Or if you have a glass door, put them there.

I find all of these activities fun and exciting. For you and your kids. Something you can share together. A way to make memorable moments. Enjoy your Valentines Day. Don't forget to take lots of pictures!
