Fun Valentine's Day Gift to Make with Children

Jessica Quigg
This a thoughtful, creative and inexpensive gift idea for Valentine's Day that you can make with your child to give to a teacher, Mom, Grandma, sister or any other special person for that matter.

Supplies needed:

1. Cardstock: suggested colors : peach, brown, cream, red, pink, white

2. Small tube of lotion (great for travel sized or sample sized bottles if you are a BeautiControl, Mary Kay, or Avon rep!), you can also find inexpensive options at your local dollar store, or major retailer such as Walmart or Target. I often stock up on things like this at year end sales from places such as Bath and Body Works too as they are versatile gifts for just about any occasion.

3. Marker

4. Double sided tape

5. Optional: glitter, stickers, gems or any other spare embellishments you have laying around!

Directions:

  1. Trace your child's hands on card stock in color they choose (flesh tones work best). Let them cut the hands out!

  2. Write a message with marker. Attach the hands to a tube of lotion (to appear as if hands are holding the lotion) and add card stock hearts with double-sided tape. Embellish with stickers, glitter, gems etc. Have fun!!

    Ideas of messages:
    "Hands down, you're the best."
    "You deserve a hand!"
