A strike is called when all the pins are knocked down at the start (i.e. on the very first ball of the frame). We'll be discussing different ways to bowl a strike. In game, every bowler would love to hit a strike and score big time and, you need more than just luck. Bowlers who desire to make it huge by constantly hitting strikes have to work really hard to get it.

Just like all other games, great action involves small packages, and making sure to have ways to bowl a strike also involves special specific attention. Each and every player must know how to work on his or her skills so as to triumph the game.

Similarly, all those who desire to make a spare or a strike to win games, should look at the three different techniques listed below. Learning ways to bowl a strike takes perseverance and practice.

1. Spinner
The spinner is one of the ways to bowl a strike and is common practice. The spinner is a way in which a shot must be delivered so that only a minor portion of the ball contacts the lane. The technique supports less friction between the lane and the ball, not following the "oiling pattern" of the lane. Due to this the ball moves in a straight line considering the lane.

However, experts think that this type of shot is not as good as it does not benefit the bowler to use his or her full power to drag the ball. So using this as one of the ways to bowl a strike may sometimes not be necessary.

2. Stroker
The stroke is another one of the ways to bowl a strike and involves more precision than strength of the bowler. This is characterized by following the "by the book" way of playing that involves maintaining an on-time move at the "foul line", keeping square shoulders all the way to the target before the ball is released and apt execution of even movements. The stroker is sometimes considered one of the more nerdy ways to bowl a strike because of the use of your thought process over brawn.

This is also termed as the "classic" technique of bowling as it uses it not only smoothes and controls the bowling movements but also reduces the chances of injuries. Thus, this is one of the more important ways to bowl a strike.

3. Cranker
This is also one of the ways to bowl a strike. Personally, this is my favorite way to bowl a strike. The cranker involves more of the strength of the bowler than accuracy to make a good shot. The bowler uses the concept of "hitting hard" while bowling.

For the bowlers to win, the skill involves more consumption of adrenaline. Overall, trying with the cranker is one of the more popular ways to bowl a strike.

Generally, crankers do not slide but use "late timing", attempt hard to reach the "foul line" earlier than the bowl and then they keep their hands back and bend their elbows to hit the ball.

Overall, there are so many ways to bowl a strike; there is a technique for every player based on his or her choosing and skill. The most important thing to remember is to aim for a strike or at the very least, a spare. Finally, remembering to stay calm and cool will always help when you are trying one of the ways to bowl a strike.
