Fun Ways to Decorate Your Christmas Tree with Snow

Be Creative, and Just Think White

Angel Vee
Are you looking for new fun ways to decorate your Christmas tree this year? The easy part is choosing a theme. Almost anything you think of can be part of the tree. Whether if it's a Winter theme, 80's, candy cane, or teddybear you still need to decide on the type of ornaments, and if you will be adding snow.

Adding snow on your tree can really make or break the theme if it's not done right. Yes, you can use the fake snow in the can, but why not be a little bit more creative, and use less fumes?

White Products That Can Be Used To Represent Snow

Think about many items we use in our home can work for this. Why not potato flakes, baking soda, baby powder, shredded coconut, or white chocolate shavings? Yes, you might have to be careful using food products due to bugs, but if you have young kids or pets who like to pick at the tree and stick stuff in their mouths, the food products turned into snow would be ideal.

How about using flour, or salt? All of these items are white, small grains, and can pass as snow if used right.

White Moon Sand

My kids gave me this idea. The Moon sand is soft, smooth, and can be crumbled up very fine. Place the sand into a bowl, and sprinkle all over the tree. Don't worry about being precise, it's suppose to be messy.

Paint The Tree White And Place Silver Glitter

Pick certain areas of the tree and paint them white. Do the paint on the full branches, or just use the paint on the tips. Sprinkle Silver glitter on top.

Use White Cotton Balls Or Shredded Up cotton

If your using the cotton balls, this could represent small snowballs on the tree. Buy the long coil cotton and shred it up into tiny pieces, then add to the tree.

Use Fake White Spiderwebs

Im not sure why I thought of this, maybe because I just took down a white spider web today from Halloween. However, I think if you use small webs all over the tree and hang them messy this could look pretty cool and interesting.

No matter how you apply the snow, just make sure you go with your theme, and have fun with it.

Other cool ways to use snow around the home for Christmas are in a candle, on a Christmas platter, By the fireplace, on mantel, on stair banister, around the tree skirt, on the door, or on windows.

Funny, I thought of the fake spiderwebs idea just before I read that part. I have to be careful what I put on my tree, because I have pets and I don't want anything flaking off the tree. The animals will eat anything that's on the floor!

I put snow in one of trees too.

I always pick the less messy way to do things...snow means mess, real snow or fake!
