Giant Sticker Activity First Words Book
This book is perfect for helping your child learn words of objects around the house. The book is entirely stickers so your little one can learn and have fun at the same time. I use this book with my toddler and she repeats the words as I say them without me having to request her too. This is great practice for your child to learn the words of his or her favorite things without a ton of effort. An added bonus will be less whining because they will know how to say the words of the things they need.
My Giant Sticker Activity Book
This book teaches the Alphabet, Colors and numbers using only stickers. Children will absolutely adore this book.

Play in the Sand
Pour sand or salt in a container and draw letters, shapes or words together.
Coloring
Grab a coloring book and color pictures. Say the names of the color crayons as you use them.
Shopping
Point out colors of objects in the store as you shop.
Draw Together
Draw objects and label the simply words above them. You will be teaching early reading while you draw together. Your child is likely to request you to draw objects or words he or she enjoys.
Television and DVD's
There is a large number of learning videos available in the marketplace. Watch television together and your child will be learning the necessary things he or she needs for kindegarten.
Read Together
There are tons of fun books you can buy or borrow from the library that teach colors, numbers, the alphabet, words and shapes in a fun way. Check them out and have fun perusing them together. There are also book stores with pleasant places to sit and read. Make a fun outing by bringing your child to the book store and sitting to read books together. The bookstore will have an enormous selection of good books and you don't have to buy any during your trip if the finances are tight. Although, I rarely get out of a bookstore without a purchase.
Chalk
Use chalk and draw letters and words on the sidewalk. You will have fun playing together and your child will be learning at the same time. If your child is uninterested in what you are drawing, don't force them to look (this would defeat the idea of "playing"). Simply let them do what they want to do at the moment. Another time they will be interested and you can introduce the concept easier then without creating an unnecessary power struggle.
These are some terrific tips to learning with your child. Have fun!
