Fun Ways to Wrap Holiday Gifts for Teenage Girls

Lisa Riggs

Selecting and wrapping gifts for teenage girls during the holiday season can be a very enjoyable experience. Not only do they take great pleasure in receiving presents that makes them feel very feminine and more adult than their years, they also love the beauty and sparkle of the holiday. Make a little extra effort this year when wrapping the gift for that special teen in your life. It will truly make her holiday one to remember and offer her an extra gift to enjoy as well.

Wrap Her Gift in a Cozy Throw. Whether she loves zebra print, is wild for polka dots or loves all things pink, a cozy throw blanket in a color or design that reflects her personality is a wonderful item to use in place of traditional wrapping paper. Spread the blanket out on the floor and arrange her gift items in the middle. Gather up all four ends and use a length of velvet ribbon to tie it off in the middle. Wrap the presents in a layer of protective plastic if you are concerned about them breaking or leaking.

Roll the Gifts in a Sports Jersey. If your gift recipient is a fan of the New York Giants or the Detroit Lions, celebrate her love of the team by gifting her with an official team jersey. Place a few of her smaller gifts in the sleeves and the main one in the middle of the jersey. Roll up the sleeves to the neck and do the same from the waist. Use a long piece of red or green ribbon to hold everything together and top off with a festive bow. She will love the gift of the jersey and be very happily surprised when the smaller presents roll out of it.

Layer Her Presents in a Funky Tote Bag. Teenage girls transport lots of things with them while they are on the go. Makeup, cell phone, music listening device, spare clothes and extra jewelry for quick changes at a friend's house all take up space and need a holder to keep from getting lost. A sturdy canvas tote bag with a bright color scheme or funky pattern is a very practical yet fun item to keep her organized and prepared for any situation. Books, CD's, DVD's or a sweater and accessories can all be layered nicely in a tote bag for holiday gift giving. Once the smaller items have been removed and enjoyed, the bag will be used for many months to come.
