Every couple counts down the days to their wedding night with great anticipation; but wedding night fun isn't just for the bride and groom! Here is how your bridal party attendants can have a little fun of their own. Include a grooms cake on the menu at your reception. Send each of your bridesmaids home with a piece of cake; if they sleep with it under their pillow, the face of their future husband will appear in their dreams!
It's a known thing newlyweds don't appreciate frequent calls or visits after their honeymoon. Why is it parents never understand? If you have too many unwelcome visitors popping in unexpectedly after the honeymoon, here is a suggestion to keep them away! Do you still have the ruby red slipper from the year you dressed up as Dorothy for Halloween? Put the red slipper on the roof of your house; it means a honeymoon is taking place so stay away!
Do you think bridesmaids and groomsmen are in your wedding to help you celebrate? Actually, they are there to help protect you! The wedding party was incorporated into the wedding to protect the bride and groom; Romans believed demons were out to get the married couple. (Must be all those expensive wedding gifts!) And the reason the wedding party wears bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos isn't to impress the guests; they dressed similar to the wedding couple so the demons wouldn't know who was getting married! Now, this explains why we give bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts.
Did you ever wonder why your engagement ring is worn on a particular finger? It is believed one vein from the third finger of the left hand runs straight to the heart. How romantic!
Don't let your new hubby forget to carry you over the threshold! It's more than just a romantic gesture. Originally, Romans carried the bride so the demons couldn't trip her and spoil her day. Your hubby should feel proud! It used to take a whole bunch of Romans to carry the bride, but he is so strong he can do it himself!
