All the people gathered round
While the sky hung dark and grey
Scattered flowers on the ground
Turned to tears by what they found
Though they wished to turn away
All the people gathered round
All around the small dirt mound
They were mourning and so they
Scattered flowers on the ground
They who cling to life are bound
By the limits they obey
All the people gathered round
While the heavens they resound
They try to pacify the day
Scattered flowers on the ground
In the face of grief unbound
There is nothing we can say
All the people gathered round
Scattered flowers on the ground

Post a Commenthow do we recommend this it has been so long?
This is such a truthful poem. There is nothing you can say. and in my case nothing said was heard only numbness filled me. What an insite and light way of sharing this poem. It was very light where I thought it would be gloom. Very nice and supprising to fine you found the words just right to fit this sad event in such a nice way.
This is just wonderful true and exactly to the fact of the matter. There is nothing you can say. Also if you do say anything it will not be remembered. I know I was in horriable shock.
Very powerful
