Gathering close friends for a sleepover can create the setting for unparalleled excitement. Sleepovers are known to produce moments that are worthy of being recounted to anyone who'll listen. While your sleepover shouldn't be a highly structured event, thinking of some suitable games can help prevent dull moments. Use your creativity to select activities that will encourage you and your guests to save sleeping for another night.

Tattoo Divas
Turn your bodies into works of art with temporary tattoos. Take turns playing the roles of tattoo artist and excited patron, with your party guests. Set up several stations for group play, or work on one brave soul at a time. Gather tattoo designs in a variety of styles, colors and sizes. Suitable prints include flowers, tribal symbols and classic slogans. Try your hand at creating free-form designs with temporary body inks and paints. Embellish your designs with body glitter and decorative beads. This activity provides the excitement of a traditional hair or fashion makeover, with a dose of modern flair. Take pictures of your artwork for a visual reminder of your tattooing fun.

Kitchen Cook-Off
Although takeout is routinely served at sleepovers, upgrading your food choices can be rewarding. It can also present an opportunity for sleepover cook-off excitement. Gather party guests in the kitchen for a chef showdown. Challenge players to place their twists on the same dish or to make different dishes altogether. Foods such as spaghetti, hamburgers and omelets make suitable options, as they contain simple ingredients and offer easy customization opportunities. Consider asking an adult chaperone or sibling to serve as the official cook-off judge. Establish a judging system based on creativity, presentation and overall taste. End the competition after completing one dish, or compete for several courses in tournament-style game play. Declare winners before enjoying all the delicious food.

Trash to Treasure
Recycle unwanted objects into innovative products during your next sleepover. Ask party guests to bring materials for your group crafting session along with design ideas. Suitable objects include old clothing, plastic containers and art supplies. Items that are more specialized may be necessary depending on your design intentions. Setup a crafting area complete with any needed equipment such as sewing machines, computers or glue guns. Decide what your craft objective will be prior to your sleepover, or assess your materials once the party starts. Examples of projects include making "look-alike" celebrity fashions, holiday ornaments or even homemade robots. Establish teams for your project making, or work together to create your sleepover masterpieces. This activity is sure to bring out the creativity in your sleepover guests. Don't be surprised if you're up all night perfecting your designs.
