Funny Homemade Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults

Funny Halloween costumes are very popular at adult Halloween parties. However, you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a laugh this Halloween. There are many ideas for cheap and funny Halloween costumes you can make yourself. You can find inexpensive materials for your funny Halloween costume at your local thrift store, costume store, dollar store or grocery store.

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults: Illegal Alien

To start making this funny homemade Halloween costume, get a simple orange jumpsuit. Write the words "Illegal Alien" across the front in permanent marker, or use stick-on letters to spell out the words. Get an alien mask from your local Halloween costume shop. You can also make an alien Halloween costume mask yourself out of paper mache. Get a piece of aluminum foil that's at least twice the length of your face, then fold it in half. Press the aluminum foil against your face until it takes its shape. Stuff the inside of the aluminum with tissue paper and set it down. Cover your work surface. Mix some wallpaper paste with water. Dip strips of newspaper into the paste, then drape them gently over the aluminum mask. Take some cheap sunglasses from a dollar store and pop out the lenses. When the mask has dried, cut out the upswept, almond-shaped eyes just slightly smaller than the sunglass lenses, then hot glue them to the inside. Punch a hole in the sides of the alien Halloween mask and attach a string or rubber band.

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults: Blind Referee

Get a T-shirt or long-sleeved shirt with black and white vertical stripes. Wear some black pants and black shoes. Get a long, slender metal or plastic pole and attach some red plastic to the end to make the walking stick. Wear cheap sunglasses and a baseball cap with "Referee" written across the front. Add some accessories to your funny homemade Halloween costume, such as a whistle on a lanyard and a red flag or card.

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults: Chick Magnet

To make this funny men's Halloween costume, get a warm up suit in a neutral color. Also get some small chick toys or party favors from your local thrift store, dollar store or party or costume store. If you can't find the chicks in stores, you can make some quickly and easily out of yellow and red construction paper and some wiggle eyes. Pin the toys or paper chicks to your sweater and warm-up pants to make them look as if they were clinging to it by static electricity.

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults: Kissing Booth

Get a large cardboard box that is just tall enough to reach from your hips to your head and about as wide as your body. Paint the entire box red. Cut out arm holes and cut out a larger section in the front of the box for your head. Attach some red cloth to the top of the box to make curtains. Paint the words "Kissing Booth" and "Kisses Only 25 Cents" across the front of the box. To finish off this funny men's Halloween costume, have your girlfriend, wife or lady friend put on different colors of lipstick and kiss your face.

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults: Mummy

To make a funny mummy Halloween costume, get some old white sheets, some white pants and a white long sleeved shirt, a large box of black tea bags, several 5 gallon buckets and a pair of scissors. Fill the buckets with hot water. Add some tea bags to each bucket, then put in all the sheets along with the white pants and shirt. Allow these to steep in the tea for several hours. Remove the sheets, pants and shirt and allow them to air dry. Cut the sheets into long strips that are about 3 inches wide. Arrange the strips around the shirt and pants and sew them on. Use some of the sheet strips to wrap your head. When you go out for Halloween, be sure to groan a lot and say funny things like, "I want my Mummy."
