Funny MySpace Surveys

Funny MySpace Surveys Give New Insight into Friends' Lives

Eric Brantner
MySpace, the social networking giant, has revolutionized the way we interact with one another. The website has becoming a means for communicating with friends and keeping tabs on old classmates. One of the more fascinating features of MySpace is the bulletins section. Bulletins are messages posted by one's friends that range in subject matter from personal updates to funny MySpace surveys. The surveys, in particular, shed a whole new light on the actions and beliefs of those who post them. The following 5 surveys provide the most interesting insight into the lives of those who complete them.

· What is your Mental Age? - This lighthearted survey is designed to determine what the participant's true mental age is. The survey presents a list of around 50 statements and the participant checks off is that statement is applicable to them. For example, one such statement might be "I drink coffee every day." Or, it could say "I enjoy discussing politics." After completing the survey, the participant adds up the total number of statements that apply to their life. That number is your friend's mental age.

· Have you Ever? - As funny MySpace surveys go, this one may be the benchmark. This is a survey that is designed to expose some of the embarrassing secrets of those who take it. The survey is a list of questions that begin with the phrase "Have you ever." For example, one question might be "Have you ever gone skinny dipping?" Or perhaps it might ask "Have you ever cheated on a past boyfriend or girlfriend?" Some of the answers are bound to shock some readers, and will give them a fun new perspective of the participant.

· Would you Ever?- The "Would you ever?" survey is very similar in format to the "Have you ever?" questionnaire, but it gives more of an in depth look at the member's psyche. The questions ask the survey taker if they would ever do something. For instance, a question might say "Would you ever make out with the 4th person on your top friends list?" Maybe the survey might ask "Would you ever steal from a store if you knew you wouldn't get caught?" Of all the funny MySpace surveys, this one is sure to uncover some funny thoughts and perhaps even some hidden crushes.

· Are you a Loser?- This questionnaire, like the Mental Age survey, is a long checklist that the participant must go through and determine if the statement applies to them or not. One particular style of the "Are you a Loser" survey is a long list of movies. The MySpace member then places check marks next to the movies he or she has seen. The list is typically around 200 long, so the survey could take some time. Upon completion of the document, the participant tallies up the total number of listed movies he or she has watched. The survey then gives an interpretation of each total. For instance, it might say "If you have seen more that 160 of these, you are a loser!"

· Soundtrack to your Life- Last, but not least, the soundtrack to your life survey is one of the most interesting ones on this list. Some of these require the user to click random songs on their music player, while others allow the participant to choose which song they want to represent each slot. Some of the sections on this survey are opening credits, breaking up, mental breakdown, driving, graduation, and death. The MySpace member then chooses a song that they feels best represents that particular moment of their life.

Funny MySpace surveys are entertaining and insightful as they educate friends about one another. Even lifelong friends are bound to learn something new about the other through a MySpace survey. However, it is important to remember that there is no substitute for real life contact with friends.

I hadn't heard of those in my travels on myspace. How interesting. The mental age one would be a hoot.
