FusionBeauty's Lip InFATuation and SculptDiva Contouring and Sculpting Blush

Review of Two FusionBeauty Products with Amplifat

L. Lee Scott
As a mature woman, I'm always on the look-out for products that promise to plump my lips, hydrate or condition my skin, and reduce the appearance of pores. I've recently found a couple I can actually get behind: Fusion Beauty's Lip Fusion InFATuation, and their SculptDiva Contouring and Sculpting Blush, both with AmplifatTM.

I bought a limited edition 3 color (mini-sized) set of Lip Fusion InFATuation, pictured, from left to right, in "Pucker Up," a bright pink; "Angelic," a sparkly peach; and "In the Flesh," a nude neutral. The full size Lip Fusion comes in 8 shades, for $29 each. I know that sounds like a lot to most of us, but truly, it lasts a long time. So what is AmplifatTM? According to Fusion Beauty, it's a patented concentrate of a Perennial Sea Fern Derivative, that works with skin to increase the amount of two natural proteins that cause the diffusion and storage of fatty acids.

They also claim that within 28 days of daily use, you'll see an increase in the volume of your lips. They don't say how much. I figured that any increase, even if only for a few hours, was better than none. I found that these lip glosses go on nicely, aren't sticky or gooey, stay on very well (even when eating or drinking), smell really good, and taste good too. They're also a little tingly, and definitely plump my lower lip. Now if they'd just do something for my upper lip, I'd probably buy stock in the company.

Fusion Beauty's SculptDiva contouring and sculpting blush, in 4 shades at $29 each, also contains AmplifatTM. It also contains rose bud extracts that, they claim, help minimize the appearance of pores on your cheeks, and "advanced" skin conditioners to help hydrate your cheeks. Again, with daily use for 28 days, you should see "visibly firmer, more supple-looking cheeks." Over time, they claim, your skin's lines and wrinkles will appear to diminish, and the product will enhance the appearance of skin volume. (I really hope that doesn't mean my cheeks will look fat.)

The photo shows SculptDiva in "Haute," a sheer pink rose color. I love this blush; I don't really care if it diminishes wrinkles or not. It's a cream-to-powder blush, easy to apply, and to layer if you want more color, and "Haute" is a perfect color for my fair skin. It smells good, it feels good, and there's nothing in the list of active or inactive ingredients that could irritate my sensitive skin. I've only been using it a week, and haven't seen a difference in my skin, just a lovely color. When I finish this jar, I plan to buy another.

Whether you're looking for plumping products or not, these two products add great color to lips and cheeks, and definitely plump your lips while they're on. They get two big thumbs up from me.
