Here is a list of movies that are to be expected to be out on August 14th, 2009. When possible I will provide you with the rating of the movie (from G to R). I will also provide you a list of the stars in the movies, who the director(s) is/are, and what the genre(s) are. I will then give you a small description of each one.

Friday August 14th, 2009:

Title: Bandslam

Starring: Gaelan Connell, Alyson Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens, Lisa Kudrow, Charlie Saxton

Director: Todd Graff

Rating: PG - thematic elements and mild language

Genres: Drama, Comedy, Teen, Music

Brief Description: Bandslam is about a group of teens who have a rock band that goes up against one of the singer's ex-boyfriend at the large event "a battle of the bands." During this battle there will be romance that will occur between two opposing rock stars. Then when a tragedy happens then they will have to choose between winning and what they believe in.

Title: District 9

Starring:Jason Cope, Robert Hobbs, Sharlto Copley

Director: Neill Blomkamp

Rating: R - bloody violence and pervasive language

Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Sci-Fi

Brief Description: District 9 is about a "fictional world where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa" .

Title: Spread

Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Anne Heche, Maria Conchita Alonso, Sonia Rockwell, Sarah Buxton

Director: David MacKenzie

Rating: R - strong sexual content, nudity and language

Genres: Comedy

Brief Description: Spread is a movie about iconography which is where sexual exploits are found in Hollywood dreams and nightmares.

Title: Final Destination 4

Starring: Shantel VanSanten, Bobby Campo, Hayley Webb, Nick Zano, Krista Allen

Director: David R. Ellis

Rating: R - strong violent and gruesome accidents, language and sexuality scenes

Genres: Sequel, Thriller, Suspense, Horror

Brief Description: Final Destination 4 fallows the same story line as the last three Final Destinations. There are very horrifying accidents that happen and seem to just be destiny's way. The goal of the characters in this movie is to try and cheat death before they two end up losing their lives.

Title: The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard

Starring: Jeremy Piven, Ving Rhames, James Brolin, David Koechner, Kathryn Hahn

Director: Neal Brennan

Rating: R - sexual content, nudity, pervasive language and drug material.

Genres: Comedy

Brief Description: The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard is a movie about a man by the name of Don Ready who does just about everything. In the movie he is given the challenge of trying to save a failing local car dealership form going bankrupt. While he is trying to live his life and do what he has to do he falls in love and finds his soul mate.

Title: The Time Traveler's Wife

Starring: Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, Ron Livingston, Stephen Tobolowsky

Director: Robert Schwentke

Rating: PG-13 - thematic elements, brief disturbing images, nudity and sexuality

Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi

Brief Description: The Time Traveler's Wife is a movie about a couple where the husband can experience time travel through a genetic disorder.
