Future WWE Hall of Fame Inductees from ECW

ECW had its place in history like no other. Think of them as the little promotion that could and also the place if you couldn't find a place in the WWE or WCW at the time, you had the option to go to ECW and make a name for yourself right there. Despite the short life span of this promotion and no the program on WWE doesn't count as that is a show and nothing more, there are a few notable names that you could consider for the Hall of Fame spot in the near future. The names listed below are some of the memorable names that really are known as ECW guys mainly.

RVD: What more can be said as at one point he was one of the biggest faces in ECW history. Holding the ECW TV Title almost two years making it seem like a title that could potentially rival the top title being the ECW Championship. I believe he would have held it at ECW had it not been for his injury. Was also tag team champion with Sabu holding 2/3 of the championships that actually existed at the time, they later had the FTW title though not an official ECW belt. Despite later going to WWE and having a tremendous amount of success there, I feel he would be served as an ECW star.

Paul Heyman: Like Eric Bischoff, he had a hand in changing the wrestling world. At a time where mainstream wrestling was gearing for kids mainly, they targeted the adult demographic of 18-34. While not the wisest person when it comes to money, he could put together a storyline that can be compelling and interesting at the same time.

Taz: He wrestled and became a major star with the booking of Paul Heyman. Climbing the ranks before finally obtaining the ECW World Title. Keep in mind that it was a world title and the one in the ECW Brand in WWE is more of a semi-world title. He was a guy who probably was thought to be too small to be a World Champion. He later left after accomplishing in ECW that he could, he moved to the WWE. That however was towards the end of his career so he didn't get to have that type of run that he got in ECW. He did the Hardcore Title and the WWE Tag Titles with Spike Dudley but due to probably his neck, he couldn't go out there and perform anymore. He settled into a commentary role and has been doing that since.

Dudley Boyz/Team 3D: This team was as big as perhaps the Road Warriors were back in the day. Bubba Ray (Brother Ray) and D-Von (Brother D-Von) have done it all. It is fact that it seems that every place you see them wrestle at as a tag team, tag team gold would go in their direction. You could debate whether it would be WWE or ECW on which Era would be best but they were the top ECW Tag Team for years until moving up to the next stage.

There are probably others along the way that you could consider inductees for the spot though it can be debated on where they should get inducted and what do you remember them by. Sabu is one that probably nobody can argue as far as in the United States goes, he got his fame in ECW and though he did appear in the WWE for a short period of time, he wouldn't be considered a WWE guy based on the very short time he was involved. It's going to be hard to pick out some more from the ECW Brand. Perhaps the symbol of loyalty would be Tommy Dreamer as he was loyal to a fault. When he could have gone somewhere else to make more money, he stayed. Shane Douglas had a moment throwing the NWA Title on the ground and proclaiming the ECW Title as the World Title for the ECW promotion.

Good choices.I agree with Dreamer too. He should be rewarded for his loyalty.
