Fuze Creates New Plastic Bottle for Sale in School Vending Machines

On Monday, FUZE Beverage, LLC announced that it has created a new 12-ounce PowerFlex plastic bottle to help make its product available in school vending machines across the nation with an eye toward efforts to fight against the childhood obesity epidemic.

FUZE was founded in 2001 with the mission of reinventing beverage industry standards through the introduction of non-carbonated drinks that are "infuzed" with real health benefits and antioxidants without high fructose corn syrup or aspartame.

All of FUZE's products meet the new guidelines for school beverages at a time when the American Medical Association and the Center for Science in the Public Interest are calling for a federal ban on the sale of sugary foods or other "junk" foods in public school cafeterias and vending machines.

    Awesome. Too bad Coca-Cola couldn't be responsible enough to sell only healthy products in schools. Perhaps they'll jump on the band wagon when they see how well FUZE does. Of course, Coke will have to start *making* healthy beverages first.
