G Series Fit 02 Perform Electrolyte Replacement Drink by Gatorade

Hydrates Your Body when Working Out, and Sweating

Susan Slade
About a week ago I picked up the 3 products that are the G Series. They were the O1 Prime, 02 Perform, and 03 Recover products. I paid $5 for them, although they retailed for $8 or so. Then I had a mail-in rebate for the $5.

I ate the Energy Bites, and now it was time to try the sports drink.

Our community were having a picnic at a local park, so we stopped off en route to pick up a Subway sandwich. We arrived an hour before the others. We parked in that area, and I said 'Goodbye' to my husband Len, and went for a power walk.

I continued on the trail, that lead me to a really long causeway, and eventually came to the beach. The causeway is totally open to the sun, and so is the island, that it is now joined up to.

I walk really fast, and within 15 minutes I was starting to sweat. I pulled off the plastic top that protects the bottle, and then unscrewed it. It broke the plastic, but there was also a seal to lift off. I found this to be difficult as my hands, and fingers were sweating. I finally got it off with my teeth. I then lifted the drinking nozzle, and squeezed the bottle, to get some liquid.

The one I chose is the Mango Passion Fruit. It states on the bottle that it doesn't have any fruit juice in it. It tastes exactly like a fruit flavored water. It does have some flavor but you can also taste the water base in it too. It has an aftertaste of sodium, and artificial sweetener. I have to say that it isn't that bad of a taste. It is one that I can handle, which really surprised me.

I continued my walk in the Florida sun, and about every 10 minutes took another swig of the Electrolyte Replacement Drink. I continued walking for an hour at a fast pace. Once I got back on the nature trail, there were trees, and I slowed down for the last few minutes.

When I got back there were all the people for the picnic. They know how I love to exercise, and said that it was good that I had taken a bottle of water with me.

The G Series Fit 02 Perform workout hydration electrolyte drink contains 16 fluid ounces (1 pt.). It has a colorful label, but at one side of it has the marks for 4, 8, 12, and 16 ounces.

It is made my Gatorade, and has natural flavor.
The serving size is 8 fluid ounces. So for half the bottle, here are the nutritional facts:
Calories 10.
Total Fat 0g.
Sodium 110 mg.
Potassium 30 mg.
Total Carb. 2g.
Sugars 2g.
Protein 0g.

It contains water, isomaltulose, natural flavor, sucrose, sodium chloride, citric acid, monopotassium, phosphate, sodium lactate, lactic acid, Red A (Purevia).

This product is for athletes, and for trainers. I am neither, but often sweat when doing my workout. I really like this product from Gatorade. Checking my receipt I paid $1 as it was on sale. If I can buy it for that price, then I would much rather purchase it, than regular water.

I felt good upon returning to the picnic. I drank half of the bottle of G Series Fit, during my walking. While eating my Subway sandwich I had a 20 ounce size bottle of water.

I was totally hydrated, and felt really good.
