Gabriel Brother's: Low Prices and Excellent Selection

About two months ago, my husband and I packed all of our belongings and moved from a small two-bedroom house into a large three-bedroom home closer to his work. What I did not take into consideration at the time was that it would take a lot more to decorate this new home than it took to decorate the last home we lived in. Sure I had enough stuff to partially decorate all the rooms but not enough to completely decorate even one room. Searching for budget friendly home décor items became my goal in life. It's easy to go into home stores and pick out a bunch of stuff but if you don't have the money in your wallet to pay for it then it's just pointless. In my search for inexpensive home décor items I stumbled upon a Gabriel Brothers store in Huntington, West Virginia.

For the last few years I had heard friends talk about going to "Gabe's" for inexpensive clothing but never had I heard of anyone buying décor items from the store. Located on 29^th Street (Route 60) in Huntington I decided to check out their selection of clothing one day while I was waiting on my husband to get home from work. Entering the store I was amazed at the selection of clothing they had on display. ¾ of the large supermarket size store is devoted to clothing items for men, women, children, and even infants. They also had a wide selection of women's plus size and men's big and tall clothing. Shoe lovers can also find a wide selection of dress and casual shoes for all occasions. After taking some time looking through the clothing racks and the aisles of shoes I found myself standing in the home décor section.

The home décor section of Gabriel Brothers in Huntington, West Virginia is not large in fact in takes up less that ¼ of the floor space but that doesn't matter. At Gabe's, as many call it, they make use of all the available space to cram in tons of merchandise. If you are looking for full size area rugs you can find a great selection. If you are in the market for window dressings Gabe's has a great selection of full length and valance curtains. For those on the lookout for bathroom items Gabe's offers many bath rugs, towels, and bath accessories to fit any kitchen. And for those looking to fill that empty space on the wall, like me, they have a great selection of artwork, most under $20.

During my first trip to Gabriel Brother's I spent about $100 and walked out with a great piece of artwork for my bedroom, some curtains for my living room picture window, a couple of rugs for my bathroom, and several other small décor items. Considering I would have paid at least twice as much at other retailers I was very happy. Since then I have returned to the store on numerous occasions to buy more décor items and of course look through the shoes and clothing. I have to admit that this is now one of my favorite places to shop for my home. I love the prices and they have a great selection.
