Gaddafi Speech - He Won't Leave Libya Blames US and UK Conspiracy for Protests

He Will Crush Protests, Block Oil Exports and Asks for Protesters to Turn Out in Support of Libya and Gaddafi

Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi has defiantly stated that he has absolutely no intention of leaving his position as the leader of Libya.

In an address to Libya today he has angrily accuses the Western media of meddling in the Libyan affairs, in particular pointing a finger at the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Gaddafi has angrily spoken of his defiance in his stance against America, shouting at Libyans asking, "were where the rats when American bombs and jets when they tried to kill me and my family in my home."

Standing in a window reputedly in Green Square, Tripoli fronted by a large sculpture of a golden hand crushing a U.S. military jet Gaddafi seemed to be angrily reacting to protests in his country.

Colonel Gaddafi is pleading for people to come out onto the streets of Libya in support of himself and the country. Foreign media sources have already started to say that the West will then begin to see pictures of thousands of people on the streets in an orchestrated protest in support of Gaddafi.

Gaddafi announced that he will not be moved and that he, "will fight until the death, and will die in Libya as a martyr."

"I have no power in Libya to give up!" He said.

Chanting on the streets of Libya from protesters apparently intensified as Colonel Gaddafi spoke on State TV. And people screamed that he is a murderer.

Gaddafi reacted extremely angrily to people in Libya who have turned their backs on his own 'revolution' of Libya. Making himself out to be the hero.

He also said that there is a conspiracy against Gaddafi and the Libyan people, and that the west wanted to make Libyan people think that they are an evil power. Also that the jets that had been seen shooting civilians had been foreign militia intent on invading Libya like has happened with Iraq and Afghanistan.

He has stated that the army has been instructed to crush the armed protesters in Libya, and that Libya would block all oil exports from the country.

The UK Foreign Minister William Hague stated; "There is no conspiracy against the Libyan leadership and that Gaddafi is making it up."

Hague has also stated that he is actively helping to assist UK nationals to leave Libya, and is seeking permission for planes to land in the country. He has also cleared access to the UK Navy to help evacuate British Citizens by sending H.M.S. Cumberland to Libya.

It is currently feared if H.M.S. Cumberland intends to dock at a Libyan port or enter Libyan waters, it will be attacked.

The warship has been indeed instructed to stay clear of Libyan waters as permission is given for them to land. Although it is not clear if H.M.S. Cumberland will actively seek action if not allowed to help assist British citizens to leave Libya, although rhetoric from William Hague did not leave further action in any doubt.

U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to condemn the Libyan leadership during a speech later today.

*UPDATE*

The city of Banghazi has indeed fallen to anti-Gaddafi forces. The Army there has turned it's back on Gaddafi and is welcoming people across the Egyptian border.

The press are being told to come along the Benghazi to film the massacre that has apparently happened in the city and to see just what has been happening inside Libya.

The concern is now growing of a civil war becoming possible in Libya, after rumors that Gaddafi is sending forces to deal with anti-government supporters and troops in Banghazi.
