Gadget Wedding Gift Ideas

Are you going to attend a wedding in a couple of days and don't know what the heck you're going to get the bride and groom? Before you grab that toaster or kitchen ware set, wouldn't it be nice to give something different and more modern, a gadget perhaps? No, I'm not saying you get them a big Plasma TV, but if you can afford it, why not? Here are a couple of gadget gifts that may be within your budget.

Home Theater System

It would be a great gift for newlyweds so that they could enjoy their honeymoon while watching their favorite DVD. A home theater system doesn't have to be expensive. The RCA RT2760 720-watt Home Theater System is only $122.99 at overstock.com. It features a 720 watt of surround sound, six-channel input and Doly Digital decoders. It also has USB input for mp3 players, thumb drives and digital cameras, and a digital am/fm tuner.

Digital Photo Frame

It would be a shame to just put away those wedding pictures, with a digital photo frame, the newlyweds would be able to display their photos for everyone to see, including videos. The 7" Nuvue NV-700 Multi-Function Digital photo frame is only $129.84 at Walmart.com. It has a high resolution 7" LCD Display, 256mb internal memory, a memory card slot, built-in stereo speakers, USB Port, A/V out, desktop stand, and remote control. It can display JPEG images as well as play mp3s, mpeg video, and audio slideshow.

DVD/VHS Player

If the newlyweds are opposites; one is a techie, the other old school, then this might be the perfect gift for them. The Toshiba DVD/VCR recorder costs $139.99 at overstock.com. It allows you to copy old VHS video to DVD or vice versa. The DVD recorder burns DVD-RAM, DVD-R, and DVD-RW. It has Four-head, 19-micron Hi-Fi stereo VHS playback, Digital cinema progressive scan, JPEG viewer, Dolby Digital and DTS compatible output, 3-D virtual surround sound, Parental lock, and 125 channel capacity.

Message Clock

Yes, clocks are old school, but not message clocks. A message clock has an oscillating wand with LED lights at its tips that carry its display. The wand moves so fast, it's like there's a floating message. But don't take my word for it, you have to see it in action coz it's very cool. The programmable message clock costs $59.99 at thinkgeek.com but is currently out of stock. Try Ebay and search for "floating message clock" or LED message clock, you should get a bargain.

LED CANDLES

A cool and inexpensive gift is LED candles, specially the blow on/off style. Some LED candles look so real that they're perfect for decorating a new home. They have this on stock at thinkgeek.com and costs around $19.99, search for "LED candles" on Ebay and you'll got a lot of selection for cheaper price.

Well, take your pick from these selections. If you have more cash to spare, then try searching for top quality brands. For those low on funds, there are a lot more alternatives on the net, just remember, Google is your friend.
