The Pilates Body Circles are made to tone and shape arms, in the same way a hula hoop tones and shapes your waist. The kit comes with a workout video that is only 14 minutes long, that includes the opening legal warnings, etc. Really the workout itself is just 10 minutes long. It is the perfect length for almost anyone, working or not, to have time to do it and not feel guilty about skipping exercise for the day.
Really it is fairly easy to pick up the hoops and use them independent of the video but for me sometimes I work best when I have a set workout I can do. It helps me get motivated. Though, I do keep them in my living room and pick them up for minute or two on occasion when watching TV.
Just like hula hoops you spin the Pilates Body Circles, except you do it around your wrists/arms. The action works your shoulders and arms. Depending on which way you turn your hands it works a different part of the arms. I thought that a 10 minute workout was rather short, but you can feel it, that 10 minutes is all I need or can take.
There is a big difference in my arms now when using the Pilates Body Circles, then before. I still have a little complaint about the under arm flab but it is a heck of a lot better than before. It don't flap as much in the wind, like it use to. My arms are nice and toned, especially my shoulders. I really like what they did for my shoulders. I stopped using them for a while, out of pure laziness and my arms slowly lost their tone again. I started the Body Circles back up and they quickly got back to their more toned state.
I really like the Pilates Body Circles. They are super easy and fun, but work, and you barely have to commit any time to notice a difference.
