Gallery U, a New Art Gallery in Royal Oak, Gives Some a Unique Chance

People who have suffered a traumatic brain injury often find the path back to living a full life a difficult one; but that does not stop their progress. The path becomes a little easier when a gallery like Royal Oak's Gallery U makes it their goal to give people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries a chance to express themselves through art, generate a little cash, get their self-esteem up where it should be, and get some vocational training.

The gallery is operated by persons who have suffered such an injury and is owned by Universal Institute Rehab, which is a company specializing in rehabilitating spinal cord injuries as well as traumatic brain injuries. It opened up during Arts, Beats and Eats and saw some pretty favorable sales that first weekend.
