The only delivery service available through The Flagship Motel was Domino's Pizza. When we called them, we received a recording stating that they would be closed for remodeling for the next few weeks, so ordering food from them was not an option. I grabbed the phone book and found Leon's World's Finest In and Out B-B-Q House. They delivered, on orders of $30.00 or more. Since that time, the delivery service has went up to orders of $40.00 or more, but believe me, it is well worth it!
I called Leon's World's Finest In and Out B-B-Q House not knowing what to expect, but as this was our only option, what else could we do but go hungry, and we did not want to go hungry, so Leon's it was. Leon himself answered the phone, I explained to him the situation, that it was just my husband and myself that wanted a plate, but we would be willing to pay the $30.00 minimum order, if he would fix us both a dinner and bring it to us. He said that he would treat us right, and our order would be delivered within 20 minutes.
True to his word, he was knocking on our door with our food within 15 minutes. Did it ever smell delicious. Leon himself personally delivered our meal, and we talked a few minutes and found that he had relatives living in our home town. We had a nice little chat and I gave him the $30.00 for the food plus a $10.00 tip and Leon left us to eat our meal while it was still hot.
When Leon said he would treat us right with our meal, he didn't exaggerate. We had ribs, sausage, ham, brisket, B-B-Q beans, coleslaw, potato salad, white bread, wheat bread, pickles, onions and two containers of B-B-Q sauce. There were also paper plates, plastic eating utensils and napkins. Plus salt and pepper. We had everything we needed for a feast, only one problem. There was only two of us and enough food to feed at least six people!
The food was absolutely delicious, the ribs were so tender they fell off the bones, the brisket was cooked to perfection, moist and juicy, the ham and sausage out of this world. The B-B-Q beans were homemade as was the coleslaw and the potato salad, I have never tasted any better. I am so glad that Domino's Pizza was undergoing remodeling, because had they not, I would have never discovered this wonderful restaurant called Leon's World' Finest In and Out B-B-Q House.
